"Ani's sculptures revel in the rich, natural tones of wood and mysteriously draw the viewer in. They all seem to nurture an inner world of hidden places, creating an intriguing sense that there was once a life presence within. Each sculpture offers tactile pathways to secret interiors. Pulls and doors slide and open to reveal hidden drawers and spaces cleverly built within." ~ The Pueblo Chieftain Newspaper

“We have never had so many people compliment the quality and beauty of an artist’s work as they have Ani’s. Pay close attention to this artist. Her work is amazing”… ~ Celebration of Craftswomen

Intrigued by the unique patterns, colors and inclusions found naturally in wood, Ani Jenkins began her exploration of wood as an artistic medium in the 1990's.

Ani's work is infused with deep mystical themes, reflections of ancient civilizations and visions of times and places still yet to be seen. Combining these elements with a palette of rare and exotic woods, her work manifests the melding of reality and dreams. She gives viewers a glimpse of the timeless essence behind the surface of reality. Ani creates worlds in wood.

Fascinated by the concept of “containment”, Ani’s work incorporates hidden drawers and chambers. Each piece invites her audiences in. Flawlessly executed and full of life, Ani's work has won numerous 1st place and People's Choice awards. Her diverse body of work has gained the respect of both seasoned woodworkers and art critics alike.
